Our Process

At Aagama Archives, each artwork passes through a careful and deliberate process before it reaches you. Our approach is guided by respect for source material, visual integrity, and long-term preservation.

Source Identification

Every artwork in our archive is sourced exclusively from:

  • Public museum collections

  • Institutional archives

  • Digitised heritage repositories

  • Legally licensed archival sources

We do not use privately owned undocumented works, social media images, or modern speculative recreations.

Each work is included only after its source legitimacy is verified.

Archival Assessment

Once sourced, artworks are examined for:

  • Historical context and provenance

  • Iconography and visual structure

  • Completeness and suitability for reproduction

This stage ensures that the artwork aligns with our archival standards and devotional context.

Digital Restoration

Archival images often carry marks of age, digitisation artefacts, or storage-related degradation.

Our restoration process focuses on:

  • Correcting tonal imbalances

  • Removing non-original distortions

  • Preserving original line work and form

No modern reinterpretation, embellishment, or stylistic alteration is introduced.

Print Preparation

Each artwork is prepared specifically for print, with attention to:

  • Scale and proportion

  • Paper compatibility

  • Tonal depth and clarity

This ensures that the printed work remains faithful to the archival source while being visually stable in physical form.
